Brooklyn - Rawdon Century this Saturday

Congratulations to all those who finished last weekend's 200km brevet in fine although somewhat soggy style, well done!  This weekend we have a somewhat easier ride.

This Saturday's ride is entitled, "Brooklyn - Rawdon Century".  The ride will depart from the Armdale Roundabout in Halifax at 9AM.  Scheduled distance is 161km, or 100 miles.

We'll be riding from Halifax to Mount Uniacke and Brooklyn, then on Route 14 to the Rawdons and the Gores, then back via the Beaverbank Road and Waverley through Dartmouth.  There are a couple of corner stores along the route but no sit-down type restaurants, so bring along some lunch and energy snacks.

As well, be advised that the following week there are two options to ride our second 200km brevet of the season, the scheduled Coldbrook-Annapolis on Saturday the 22nd, and a locally-based 200km route on Wednesday May 19th.  The Wednesday brevet is also a sanctioned ACP brevet, to provide more options to those who work on some Saturdays.  If you plan to ride the Wednesday brevet, please advise Mark by Monday the 17th of your intentions.  Further information on the Saturday ride in the Valley will be posted next week.

Hope to see you on Saturday!
