century ride on Saturday May 4th

posted Apr 30, 2013, 2:14 PM by Mark Beaver
Hi all - looks like spring has finally sprung, as it were...  and the long range forecast for this weekend is currently looking good.

That's just as well, as we have our first century ride (100 miles) of the year, scheduled to depart from Graham's Grove in Dartmouth at 8AM this Saturday.  This ride is entitled, "Beaverbank - Rawdon" and distance will be around 165km.

The cue sheet and the maps are attached.  Please print and bring with you.

We'll head north on the Waverley Road to Cobequid Road and Windgate Drive, then onto the Beaverbank Road north to Rawdon.  We'll take a scenic tour of the Gores then on to Nine Mile River and Milford, then back in on Highway 2.  (If anyone's not quite up for a century, you can always shortcut straight home from Nine Mile River).  Hoping to see a good crowd out there this weekend, especially all those who have signed up for the Granite Anvil - youse guys need the mileage! See you on Saturday.
