ride on Saturday April 14th

On Saturday the club ride is entitled, "Brooklyn - Stanley".  This ride will assemble at the carpool parking lot at Exit 4 off Highway 101 at St Croix.  Take the exit off the highway and turn left at the stop sign, and proceed a couple hundred meters to the carpool parking lot near the overpass.

Scheduled departure time is *10AM*.  Scheduled distance is 85km.  Maps and cue sheets will be distributed at the start.

We will head north towards Brooklyn and Burlington, then toward Stanley and Rawdon.  The route is mostly inland, away from cold sea breezes.  The ride will regroup a couple of times and there is a store at South Rawdon but bring along some pocket food as there are not a lot of other stores on the loop.  Currently looking at a great weather forecast!

I recommend that all riders carry a Nova Scotia provincial highway map with them on all rides.  Personally, I took a highway map and cut out the central part of the province in a shape such that when I folded it in two, it would fit into a Ziploc bag.  It's always in my kit - I'd encourage you to do the same.  The maps from Google aren't particularly clear if you want to figure out where you went wrong...
