Hi all, we had a great turnout for the Joe Howe Century on Sunday last week, lots of club members out for the ride.  Hope you had a good time!

Let's cross fingers for a favourable weather forecast for this Saturday's final brevet of the season.  This ride is entitled, "Wentworth - Scotsburn 200km" and is our final long ride of the season.  The ride will assemble at the parking lot of the Onslow Junior High School in Lower Onslow; take Exit 14A off Highway 102 just past Truro.  Turn left from the exit, the school is a couple hundred meters to the west.  The ride will depart at 8AM.  Distance will be 200km.

We'll head up through the Wentworth Valley (lots of new pavement!) to Wallace, then along to Tatamagouche and Earltown to Scotsburn.  Then we'll cross Mt Thom on the way back to Lower Onslow.  There will be several stores and restaurants on the first half of the loop but not a whole lot after Earltown, so pack some pocket food with you.

As this is a brevet ride, I will request that you let me know by Friday September 24th if you plan to attend, so that I can prepare brevet cards, your cue sheets, and colour maps of the route for you.  If you wish to earn a medal for this ride, please bring $15 with you.

It is also our last chance to order brevet medals for rides completed earlier in the season; if you want medals for your earlier rides but haven't paid me for them yet, please let me know that you want them so that I can get them in time for our AGM later this fall.  Medals are available for the 200km, the 300km, the 400km, and the 600km.  (I have ordered medals for all those who completed the 1000km already.) If you're not sure, ask me.
