Hi folks, first notice for our 200km brevet which will take place on Saturday July 18th.
This ride is entitled, “Masstown – Parrsboro”. Link to the route is https://ridewithgps.com/routes/9401996
The owners of the very busy Masstown Market have asked us to park vehicles in the employee parking lot behind the Fish and Chip Boat.
The ride will depart at 8AM.
We will head out the scenic Bay of Fundy coastline past Economy and Five Islands to Parrsboro, site of our first controle. We then head north to Southampton on our way to Collingwood – the descent down from Wyndham Hill has just been repaved! The country store in Collingwood was closed last time I was by, it may or may not be open, so bring sufficient pocket food to get you from Parrsboro to Wentworth, our next controle stop. We then head through the scenic Wentworth Valley before a descent back down to Debert and Masstown again.
As this is a sanctioned brevet ride, I will require notification by email of your intention to participate, by Thursday afternoon so that I can prepare the brevet cards for you. As always, carpooling is encouraged.
This should be a spectacular ride through some of northern Nova Scotia’s nicest scenery.
