Hi folks, this Saturday we have another 200km brevet ride scheduled.
This one starts and ends in Bedford. The ride will assemble at the Second Cup coffee shop in the Sunnyside Mall. If you are driving to the start, please park vehicles at the far side of the parking lot near the road so as not to block up their valuable parking spots for the day.
This ride is entitled, “Stanley – Nine Mile 200”. Link to the route is https://ridewithgps.com/routes/28975816
Schedule departure time is 8AM.
We’ll head out the Beaver Bank Road to Rawdon and Gore, then onward to the Bay of Fundy shoreline at Walton. We’ll ride the Noel Shore to Burntcoat Head (site of the highest measured tides on the planet!) then head south to Kennetcook and Nine Mile River before returning to Bedford via Enfield and Waverley. This will be a substantially easier 200k, elevation-wise, compared to last week’s ride.
There are rumours of a post-ride beer or two at Finbar’s Pub in Bedford…
If you plan to attend this ride, please let me know by Thursday evening, by reply to this email, of your intention to participate – irregardless of what you may have already told me verbally, I want it in writing…
