Hi folks, this Saturday we have our spring 300km brevet.
This ride is entitled, “Alma – Brookfield 300”. Link to the route is https://ridewithgps.com/routes/26512996
This ride will assemble at 6AM at the Graham’s Grove parking lot in Dartmouth. We’ll head out the Waverley Road to Enfield, then out through Goff’s and Elderbank to Middle and Upper Musquodoboit then over the hill at Dean; then ride Route 289 from Eastville to Alma. We then head over Mount Thom to Truro, then down Route 2 back to Dartmouth again.
If you plan to attend this ride, please let me know by email by Friday afternoon so that I can prepare brevet cards for you.
As with all brevets of 300km or longer, there is mandatory equipment which must be brought with you. A reflective vest is required; as is a bright white headlight and a red rear light. Lights must be turned on and vest worn during times of darkness. (For the longer 400km and 600km brevets, a second headlight (or spare batteries) and a second taillight are required in case the main ones crap out on you). Those showing up without vest and lights will be disqualified from the brevet.
Expecting a good crowd out on Saturday!
