Randonneurs Nova Scotia is pleased to announce the route of our 2018 1000km brevet, called the Fundy Park 1000.

This ride will take place on July 7-8-9th 2018.
The route takes us along the shorelines of the Bay of Fundy, first along the Noel Shore of the Minas Basin, past the site of the world’s highest measured tides twice a day at Burntcoat Head, then on to Truro and along the northern coastline of the Minas Basin to Parrsboro, then north to Amherst and the New Brunswick border. Our route in New Brunswick passes through Memramcook to Moncton, where we will spend our first overnight after 400km.
Our second day follows the northern shoreline of the Bay of Fundy along the coastline to Alma in Fundy National Park where we head inland through Mechanic Settlement to Sussex and cross-country through gentle farmland and forest to Salisbury and Shediac, where we once again greet the ocean waters at the Northumberland Strait. We follow the coastline to our second night’s overnight destination at Port Elgin after 340km.
On Monday we cross back into Nova Scotia again and follow the coastline of the Northumberland through Pugwash and Tatamagouche, then head south to Truro and cross-country back into Halifax again.
Registration for the Fundy Park will open in January 2018. Registration includes two night’s hotel accommodation on the course, bag drop service at both nights’ hotels, with supper and breakfast food included. Riders will share the costs of the support vehicle and crew. Estimated cost for the 1000k is $350.
