once again, the weather forecast is equivocating on the
likelihood of rain on Saturday – so we’ll decide on Thursday whether the
last scheduled club ride of the season will be on Saturday or on Sunday
(Nov 4th). Stay tuned for the announcement.
In either case, our route will be the same season’s closer as last year,
which is entitled, “Chezzetcook – Montague”. Departure is from Graham’s
Grove Park in Dartmouth at 10AM.
Link to the route is https://ridewithgps.com/routes/18128351
We’ll head out Main Street to Forest Hills Drive, then out the
Lawrencetown Road to Three Fathom Harbour and onward to a pit stop at
the Rose & Rooster Cafe for a warm-up. Then onward to Bellefontaine
Road and a crossing of Porters Lake, then a route through Lake Echo
suburbia back to the Waverley Road and back to the start. It would be a
pretty safe prediction that a contingent of riders will end up at the
Battery Park brew-pub to toast the season in style. I’ll bring a cable
lock.
Hope to see a lively turnout this weekend, whichever day it turns out to
happen!
