Hi folks – this coming weekend we have our club ride on SUNDAY not Saturday – since the popular Lost Shores Gran Fondo is happening on Saturday.
This will be the last year for the Lost Shores ride, by the way, the organizers have announced.
Our Sunday ride begins and ends in Brookfield, NS, just north of Stewiacke.
The ride will assemble at the carpool parking lot at Exit 12 off Highway 102 – take the exit and turn left to cross under the overpass, the carpool lot is just past the ramps.

We’ll head out up the scenic Stewiacke River Valley to Upper Stewiacke and Eastville, then follow Route 289 toward Alma. There’s a store stop at the 71km point. We’ll then skirt the base of Green Hill to Scotsburn then continue on to Earltown, for a visit to the Earltown General Store for refreshments, before a long descent down to Truro and back to Brookfield again.
This should prove to be a very scenic ride with a nice variety of Nova Scotia scenery.
