EDIT – Hi all – the weather forecast for Saturday looks less than promising with all forecasters calling for Saturday rain – so let us change the weekend ride from Saturday to SUNDAY instead.
Same everything except the day! We need sun… see y’all on Sunday.
Looks like winter may have finally broken – forecast for this coming weekend is in double digits, finally.
Our scheduled ride for this Saturday SUNDAY is entitled, “Clarksville – Georgefield” and is another out-of-town start.
The ride will assemble at the parking lot by the Tim Hortons at the Enfield Big Stop in Enfield. Please park any vehicles at the far ends of the parking area so as not to disrupt the businesses.
Link to the route is https://ridewithgps.com/routes/26522702
Scheduled departure time is 10AM.
We’re heading up north through Nine Mile River and Cheese Factory Corner to Rawdon, then onward to Clarksville and Kennetcook and Georgefield, then a jog south to MacPhee’s Corner and Shubenacadie, then back through Lantz to Enfield again. Scheduled distance is 117km. This is a pleasant route with (mostly) quiet roads and nice rural scenery.
